As you can tell by my name, I'm fascinated by England and it's people, and culture, although I've never been there.  It's by biggest wish, someday I'll get to go!

Of course, I love to read, nothing "high brow" I'm afraid, I do love romance, cook books (don't cook all that much, tho), travel books, and biographies.

I love animals, right now I just have two cats (hubby isn't that fond of the critters!) but we've had various dogs and cats, and growing up in the country, we had everything, and made pets of them all, from horses to pigs, goats, and chickens!  My favorite dogs are Great Danes (had one years ago, beautiful baby, and I still miss her...), but I also love Beagles, Labs, Westies, I could go on and on!

I live in Illinois, and I'm married for 27 years to the same guy, with 2 teenagers, who both like to read.  We all got seriously into the Harry Potter series, and are so sad it's over.  My other all time favorite series of books is the James Herriott "All Creatures" series, sweet, funny, and set in Yorkshire!

Oh, and my books are all from a non-smoking household, I've seen that mentioned here, and just wanted to add that.

Looking forward to meeting people here, and trading some books, I have alot of paperbacks setting around, waiting for someone else to read them.  I'm also a member at bookcrossing.com, so some of my books will be registered there, I'd love to see them tracked around the world!
